I ID everything i get even blues. I have even on occasion bought an unid. I got a req 8 15^50 chaos axe that way. Granted I dont buy them that often at all maybe 1 a week if the price is low. The bad thing about this is that I was going to sell that chaos axe but when begged by my guild leader to sell it to him I caved and gave him the deal of the century. I sold it for what I bought it for plus the mod I put on it +29 hp 60k total ( I had a ton of money at the time anyways). There was a condition to it though, he was not "supposed" to sell it. Two weeks later he did and I left the guild. Long story short. Yes unid are most likely tested but there are decent people out there too that dont test. Secondly dont trust anyone even a guildy when it comes to perfect rare items. BTW he sold it for 560k and he called me a a--hole for leaving the guild. Said I never said he could not sell it.

whenever I do this and I find that the weapon is going to be a hard sell, I sell for the lowball of what it would be if I stood there spamming waiting for the right person to come along. IMO buying anything UNided is doing so at your own risk. It doesn't matter if the person selling it knew what the mods were, you took the chance when buying it - I have been taken in this way but I also knew it was a chance *shrugs*
However I make it a practice not to sell it like it were gawd if I know it isn't. (now if it is utterly crap I just ID and merch or pray I missed a mod when before I ID it - but thats just me.) However I am also not a farming type - I don't do chest runs, so if I sell UNided its cause I need the money right then - I have finally made it to a comfortable spot so its not an issue for me anymore - now I just flat out ID it.

Wow Midnight, he should have at least been willing to split the profit - it would have only been fair. I don't blame ya for leaving, people like that urk me to no end -_- My brother had someone flat out GIVE him a low req 15^50 chaos axe - he wont ever sell it lol... Heck he wont even let his sis borrow it

It would be good if ANet changed it so that unID items just didn't do anything special until ID. I know it's a little weird, but this makes IDing pointless if you have time to burn.

i spent 50k on a unid gold fellblade req 8 it was 15^50 ^^
